LNP camus 1957
CAMUS est né en Algérie en 1913 et est mort en 1960 dans un accident de voiture sur une route de France.
Lors de sa disparition, à 47 ans, il était mondialement connu et à l'âge où d'autres auteurs arrivent seulement à la célébrité, il laissait derrière lui une des oeuvres les plus importantes de la littérature française du siècle. CAMUS, en quelques ouvrages denses, s'est illustré dans presque tous les genres (si l'on excepte la poésie) de l'expression écrite. Ses articles journalistiques, au début de sa carrière, ses romans (L'Etranger, la Peste, La Chute), ses nouvelles (L'Envers et l'Endroit, L'Exil et le Royaume), ses pièces (Caligula, Les Justes), ses adaptations (Requiem pour une nonne, Les Possédés) et ses essais (Le mythe de Sysiphe, L'Homme Révolté) lui ont assuré une célébrité que le temps ne dément pas. La profondeur de vue de l'auteur, la justesse de ses engagements et les questions qu'il soulève au fil de son oeuvre n'en finissent pas de nous interpeller. Certains ne s'y étaient pas trompés : le 17 octobre 1957, CAMUS reçoit, honneur suprême, le prix Nobel de littérature pour "l'ensemble d'une oeuvre qui met en lumière les problèmes se posant de nos jours à la conscience des hommes". Il n'avait que quarante-quatre ans et encore peu de temps à vivre. -

Im Mittelpunkt dieses Reiseberichts stehen Begegnungen des Autors mit fundamentalistischen Iranern, Pakistani und Malaien. Anfang der achtziger Jahre geschrieben, ist die islamische Reise heute wieder von überwältigender Aktualität und leistet einen wesentlichen Beitrag zum Verständnis des Fundamentalismus.
